BABYMONSTER Draws 100,000 Attendees at Japan Fan Concert
[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] Following their first tour in Japan during the first half of the year that attracted 150,000 attendees, BABYMONSTER has once again proven their popularity by drawing 100,000 fans to their first Japan fan concert in the second half.
BABYMONSTER held ‘BABYMONSTER [LOVE MONSTERS] JAPAN FAN CONCERT 2025’ over two days, December 6 and 7, at Hyogo’s ZOZO LION Arena Kobe. The final leg of the tour, both shows were completely sold out. The upgrade to a larger arena compared to last year’s fan meeting in Kobe highlighted the group’s significant growth.
Their first Japan fan concert was held across eight shows in four arena-level cities, Chiba, Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kobe, drawing a total of 100,000 offline attendees. The Tokyo concert was also broadcast live on TBS, reaching even more viewers. In addition, relay pop-up stores held in each city drew massive crowds, further proving the group’s explosive popularity.
From the very start, the concert hall was filled with thunderous cheers. BABYMONSTER opened with high-energy performances of hits like ‘WE GO UP’, ‘SHEESH’, and ‘DRIP’, delivering electrifying energy. With vivid live vocals using handheld microphones and dynamic stage movements, combined with fan chants, the group filled the venue with overwhelming presence.
Everything, vocals, performance, and fan service, came together in perfect harmony. The setlist included their first original Japanese song ‘Ghost’ and various tracks from their second mini album [WE GO UP]. YG’s signature live band sound and special effects added emotional impact. Fluent Japanese communication, fun dance challenges, a moving cart (moving stage), and signed ball giveaways further enhanced the fan experience.
BABYMONSTER expressed their gratitude, saying, “Thanks to MONSTIEZ, we were able to stand on such a big stage. We hope our music makes your daily life even a little bit happier. We’ll keep running hard for MONSTIEZ.” They added, “Every moment of the fan concert was special for us. We hope it became a good memory for you as well. Having wrapped up ‘BABYMONSTER [LOVE MONSTERS] JAPAN FAN CONCERT 2025’ with great success, BABYMONSTER will next meet fans in Bangkok on December 27–28 and in Taipei on January 2–3, 2026.
